Cincinatti Reds playing at Bayfront Ballpark in March 2014

PENSACOLA   --  The Pensacola Blue Wahoos brought professional baseball back to Pensacola.

Next, they're bringing the major leagues.
The Wahoos will host the Cincinnati Reds  in a spring training exhibition game, Friday, March 28th, at the Bayfront Ballpark.

The Reds and Wahoos announced the game, today, at the ballpark.
The Reds, who are battling the Pirates and Cardinals for the NL Central title, will bring one of baseball's highest-profile rosters to Pensacola.

It will be the first time Pensacola has hosted a major league game since 1958, when the White Sox and Cardinals played an exhibition at old Admiral Mason Park.

It's a big deal for Pensacola fans.  But Reds vice-president for player development, Bill Bavasi, says this is a big deal for the Reds, as well.
