FEMA damages must be reported by Friday in Escambia

We're getting a better look at the amount of damage done during the April flood in Escambia County.

The latest numbers include damage to infrastructure like roads, bridges, and sidewalks. According to the county, more than 2,100 infrastructure items were damaged. So far, more than 1,600 of them have been repaired. About 355 sites are still waiting to be fixed.

The county is urging people who haven't reported damage or drainage problems in their neighborhoods to do so. You can call the Escambia County Engineering Department by Friday to identify all damages eligible for FEMA reimbursement funds.
