Local hat maker's goal to be on The Ellen Show

One woman is looking to make it on a national TV day time show.
Nicole Finch makes Kentucky Derby-inspired hats and is launching a social media campaign to get on The Ellen Show.
Nicole Finch hand crafts Kentucky Derby style hats.
She fell in love with horse racing 10-years ago and was able to attend the Kentucky Derby 4 years later.
She wore this hat to her first Kentucky Derby and says she quickly felt underdressed.
So the next year she designed her own hat.

Nicole Finch  "Every year I just started tweaking my hats and every year I got more and more attention to the point people were stopping me asking if they could take pictures of my hats."
A year ago she started her own business Finchy baby hats.
And got an Etsy page helping her sell 11- of her custom designed hats for men and women.
This year she sold 27.

Her hats have even been photographed in USA Today and other blogs.
"So to push her success even further Nicole decided to take pictures of her hats every day and Facebook and tweet them to the Ellen Show."

"I was just like I'm going to do this every day until she has me on her show basically. Other people do it and they end up getting on there, so why not me."
She plans on making Ellen a custom hat and wants the celebrity to wear the hat on the  show and then auction it off to charity.

"I think it would still be cool even if she would wear them."
So far Nicole hasn't heard from the Ellen show but that's not stopping her from achieving her dream.
