NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- New Orleans police chief Ronal Serpas says a 20-year-old suspect has been arrested and faces a first-degree murder charge in connection with a Bourbon Street gunfight that left a woman dead and nine people hurt.

Serpas says 20-year-old Trung T. Le was captured Friday in Mississippi. He also faces nine counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Le is from the city of Belle Chasse, near New Orleans.

The exchange of gunfire happened early Sunday in the French Quarter.

What sparked it remains unclear.
