Quantum Resources Management says no workers were hurt when the leak occurred and no evacuations were necessary.

All production at the well has been stopped until it can be properly repaired.

Official Statement:

At Quantum, protection of the environment is important to us. On June 29th, during a regularly scheduled Mechanical Integrity Test, on the Jesse E. Moore 19-2 well, there was a release of 160 barrels of water and 1 gallon of oil, which was all contained and recovered within the cellar and dyked area surrounding the well. There was no release to the surrounding soil or environment. The well has been temporarily repaired with a permanent repair imminent. We are fully cooperating with the D.E.P. to test the area to ensure there has been no environmental impact. The preliminary assessment indicates no lingering effects from this incident.
