City unveils the US Army Pelican

Last year, the U.S. Army Pelican located at the intersection of Palafox and Garden Street was demolished due to a car accident and has ever since been missed by local and friends of the U.S. Army.

The City of Pensacola has teamed up with the Pensacola News Journal and has helped sponsor a new U.S. Army Pelican that has been painted by volunteer Army veterans and active-duty troops, with help from Vital Signs.

An informal dedication of the new U.S. Army version of the Pelicans in Progress Project in Pensacola at the intersection of Palafox and Garden Street.

Pensacola celebrates the return of our beloved U.S. Army Pelican.
