UPDATE: F-35 engine caused fire at Eglin

The U.S Naval Institute news is reporting that the engine of the F-35 joint strike fighter jet definitely caused the fire at Eglin Air Force base on June 23rd.
The fire started in the rear of the jet where the engine is located.

It was initially thought the cause was related to the jet's integrated power pack, which acts as a starter for the engine.
Now sources with USNI news say that investigators are focusing on the F135 after-burning turbofan.

The Pentagon has grounded the fleet of F-35's while the investigation continues.
