Pensacola man convicted of murder sentenced

A Pensacola man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a young woman.

Joshua Douglas was convicted in April for the first degree murder of Jamie Broxson.

In 2010, Broxson's body was found near a Gulf Power substation near Nine Mile Road.

Investigators found DNA evidence linking Douglas to the murder.
A jury had recommended the death penalty.

Circuit Judge Terry Terrell sentenced Douglas to life in prison.
