Afghan Election Took Place

Elections in Afghanistan went on, despite throughout the country.

On Saturday, Afghans cast their votes to elect their next Preisdent. 

Saturday's election was a runoff  between former cabinet ministers.

Voters chose between Former Foreign Affairs Minister Abdullah Abdullah and Former Finance Minister Ashraf Ghani.

The Afghan Deputy Interior Minister says 10 afghan soldiers, 14 civilians and 19 insurgents were killed in a day that saw nearly 150 attacks through country.

The results of the election expected to be announced Jul. 22.
