White House takes on Global Warming this morning

The White House is taking on global warming this morning.
Today the Obama Administration proposed a regulation that would cut carbon dioxide emissions from existing power plants by 31 % by 2030.
   
Those plants are the largest source of greenhouse gases in this country releasing about 30 percent of the US carbon pollution.
   
States will have at least three years to submit a plan for how they comply.

Each state's goal is tailored to its own circumstances, and states have the flexibility to reach their goal in whatever works best for them

The Chamber of Commerce claims the administrations' plan would shrink the economy by an estimated 51 billion dollars.

hey also say it would cost Americans 224,000 thousand jobs each year and add to consumer energy costs.
