General Motors faces 10 billion dollar lawsuit

General Motors is facing a 10 billion dollar lawsuit that alleges its vehicles have lost value amid the controversy involving faulty ignition switches.
The suit was filed in California and seeks class-action status to represent as many as 15 million GM car owners.

The plaintiff in the suit, Anna Andrews, says she bought a used 2010 Buick Lacrosse three years ago, but would not have purchased the car or would have paid less had GM disclosed the defects in its vehicles.

The 71 page complaint covers vehicles sold after GM's bankruptcy proceedings and says that the company's actions have led to the decrease in value in vehicles sold between July 10th, 2009 and April 1st of this year.
GM did not respond to a request for comment regarding the lawsuit.
