BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

AAA 4th of July travel predictions

If you're planning an Independence Day getaway, you're not alone.
AAA predicts 41 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more for the 4th of July holiday weekend.
  
That's up nearly 2% from last year.
Despite higher gas prices, the majority of travelers 34.8 million will go by car.

An estimated 3.1 million will fly.
