PSC and UWF create partnership to help students receive degrees

Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida want to help students get degrees from both schools.

The PSC to UWF program will eliminate road blocks students face when trying to transfer.
Students in the program won't have to pay an application fee or re-submit transcripts.
Program advisors will also help students make the transition.
Both schools will promote the program to high school students and to those enrolled at PSC.

Dr. Judy Bense, UWF President: "If there are too many barriers, students get discouraged and don't transfer or will stop. We want to make it easy to get a bachelor's degree."
Northwest Florida State College started a similar partnership with UWF in 2011.
About 300 students are currently taking part.
