Pensacola man sentenced to life in prison for murder

A Pensacola man will spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering a woman and dumping her body in the woods.

Joshua Douglas was convicted in April for the first degree murder of Jamie Broxson in 2010. Broxson's body was found near a Gulf Power substation near Nine Mile Road.

Investigators found DNA evidence linking Douglas to the murder. A jury had recommended the death penalty.

But Circuit Judge Terry Terrell sentenced Douglas to life in prison.
