First 'public' congressional hearing being held on Bergdahl release

The first public congressional hearing on a captured American soldier being traded for five members of the Taliban will be held in Washington today (Wednesday).

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel signed off on the prisoner exchange that freed US Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl on May 31st.
He will appear before the House Armed Services Committee in a session that's likely to bring pointed questions and heated debate.
The Obama administration has already held two classified briefings this week for members of congress.
The sessions have only intensified the rhetoric coming from Capitol Hill.
