Search for FSU president starts over

The Presidential Search Committee at Florida State University is starting over
The search committee was set to interview Florida Republican State Senator John Thrasher.

But the interview was canceled after public outcry and other candidate applications started pouring in.

After that the original recruiter hired to find the next FSU president quit.
Sen. Al Lawson
"Yes, it's very embarrassing so you really hope that people looking at this process around America won't be so reluctant and not apply."

Florida State is now working with a new search firm  who is based out of California and Pennsylvania.

FSU set a hard deadline that applications need to be in by next week.
Candidates who already applied will not need to re-apply.
