Former Miami Dolphin joining lawsuit against NFL and concussions

Former Miami Dolphins Quarterback Dan Marino is joining other players in a lawsuit against the NFL for damage they claim resulted from hard hits to the head.

In the lawsuit the players claim the league *knew* about the long term dangers of concussions and purposely misled players about the risks.
They are seeking financial compensation for game-related injuries.
Marino retired in 1999 after playing 17 seasons for the Miami Dolphins.
He was more famous for throwing passes than taking big hits.
But he says he too suffered unspecified damage resulting from hits to the head.
