Santa Rosa schools to have slightly longer days

The Santa Rosa School District is coming up with a creative way to work around days missed because of severe weather.

Starting next year, kids will be in school for six minutes longer each day, that's an extra thirty minutes a week. Administrators say it will provide the school more flexibility when having to make up days.

They also say it will give teachers additional time to focus on developing a stricter curriculum.
