Walnut Hill Man Accused of Shooting his Son

WALNUT HILL, Fla. - Escambia County Deputies arrested a Walnut Hill man Friday after a strange shooting just before 7:30 p.m.

According to our media partners at Northescambia.com, Deputies say 71-year-old Marshall Harmon got into an argument with his 32-year-old son.

Harmon's son took off in a riding lawn mower down Breastworks Rd.  Harmon followed him on his pick-up truck and pulled along side him near N Pine Barren Rd.

Deputies say Harmon fired two shots in his son's direction.  They're not not sure if harmon intended to hit his son, but his son was hit in the neck, and taken to the hospital.

His son's injury doesn't seem to be life threatening.

Harmon is in jail for aggravated assault with no bond set.
