BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Last day to file Disaster Unemployment claim

Today is the last day for people living in Escambia or Santa Rosa County to file a Disaster Unemployment claim if you were out of work because of the flood.

People in Okaloosa and Walton Counties have until Thursday, June 12th to file.

These benefits are for full- or part-time workers who lost their job because of the flood and don't qualify for regular Re-Employment Assistance benefits.
