Governor Scott's veto list

Governor Rick Scott signed the budget today.
And he vetoed some of the local items on the Florida Taxwatch "Turkey" list.

Smart Horizons Online Career Education had asked for 500,000 dollars.  
The city of Destin, 50,000, to study the idea of an aquatic nature park.

Other local line items rejected are Northwest Florida Ballet Public School and Pensacola Little Theatre.

Several other projects on the Turkey list *will get their funding...
ARC Gateway in Escambia County.
The Andrews Institute's Eagle Fund in Santa Rosa.

The Science and Technology Education Middle School in Okaloosa County.   Bud and Dorie Day Trail  and Crestview Senior Housing all survived the vetoes.  To take a look at the complete list, click here
