Vacant Santa Rosa County Commission seat to be filled

The Santa Rosa County Commission seat left vacant by the passing of Jim Williamson will be filled by his son until an election can be held in November.

Jayer Williamson will take the oath of office tomorrow at 9:00 am during a regularly scheduled Commission meeting.
   
His father died in April, just days after resigning from the Commission.
   
Governor Rick Scott appointed Jayer Williamson to the District One seat in Santa Rosa County on June 18th.
   
Jayer Williamson is an officer with Williamson Electrical Company and the founder of the Santa Rosa Young Professionals Organization.
