Santa Rosa County working on a solution for recycling

Santa Rosa County leaders are working on a deal with Emerald Coast Utilities Authority to come up with a new plan for recycling.

The county -- along with the City of Pensacola -- began taking recyclable materials to landfills in April when West Florida Recycling closed.
Since then, ECUA worked out a deal with "Infinitus" to take its recyclables to the company's Montgomery facility.
Santa Rosa County is now working on a contract that would allow ECUA to pick up the materials at the county's landfill.
They would then be taken elsewhere for processing.
