Florida Public Defender facing drug charges

A Public Defender with Florida's first Judicial Circuit is now facing drug charges.

State Attorney Bill Eddins says Lenny Platterborze was arrested Monday and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance.
Walton County Deputies served a search warrant and questioned Platterborze at his office.

Platterborze admitted that he was keeping illegal prescription drugs in his desk.
Deputies found two bags containing more than 16 grams of oxycodone.

Bruce Miller with the Public Defender's office says Platterborze has been let go.
