Escambia County Commissioner receives new title

Escambia County Commissioner Grover Robinson has a new title.
He's the new President of the Florida Association of Counties.

He'll oversee the administration of the group, and help direct policy and advocacy.
The Florida Association of Counties was instrumental in creating the Gulf Consortium, which is developing a spending plan for Deepwater Horizon oil spill monies.

Robinson joins two other Escambia County elected officials in key leadership roles in statewide organizations.

Pensacola City Councilman P.C. Wu is President of the Florida League of Cities.
And school board member Patty Hightower is President of the Florida School Boards Association.
