BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Salvation Army Gives Flood Victims a Place for their Laundry


GULF BREEZE, Fla. -- The salvation will be setting up a mobile laundry unit in Gulf Breeze Sunday.

It's for flood victims who may not have a place to wash their clothes any more.

It's going to be at the First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze. The unit will have three washers and three dryers, with the ability to serve several people at one time.

People can start using the facilities at 9 a.m. and it will stay open until 6 p.m.
 
It will be available through Wednesday, May 14.
