Half the homes in Bayou Marcus subdivision damaged in flood

Half of the homes in the Bayou Marcus Townhomes subdivision were damaged by the floods--

According to the office manager--
44 of the 86 units on the property were damaged--
4 renters have been relocated.

It's clean-up at this point--
It's been clean up every day since--
But then there's damage like this--
A giant hole next to a building--   
It looks like wash out--
This type of damage will take a little more work--

Video of the Bayou Marcus Townhomes Wednesday--
The day after the storm--
People waded through the waters-
And those who couldn't were put on boats--

At one point, rescue crews were seen getting a baby through the flooded street

Now that the water level has dropped it looks strikingly similar to many neighborhoods in Northwest Florida these past few days

Debris on the side of the road-- furniture drying on curbs-- and cars in need of repair--
The water was up to here for us, you can see right here the water line"

Jennifer Plant got about a foot of water inside her home.
She's had to toss out more than she wanted-
 
"I threw out everything that was in my garage which was like a computer chair, some paperwork, and like some stuff from when i was in the military.

Sentimental stuff, so I cried a little bit, because those are irreplaceable."
Down the road-- Tracy Hayes has lost a many of her things too--

She's fixated on the giant hole because it's to the side of her house--
At this point-- she says there's not much she and her neighbors can do--

"Basically clean-up and hope that this area gets the FEMA that's looking to get."
