Carjacking, high speed chase ends with officer involved shooting

A carjacking led to a high speed chase and ended with an officer involved shooting in Escambia County.

An armed man stabbed someone and stole their car in the area of west Nine Mile Road and Pensacola Boulevard Saturday night.
   
The stabbing victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies found the stolen vehicle and suspect in the area of Palafox Street and Olive Road.
   
The driver took off and led deputies on a high speed chase.
The suspect crashed the car on Highway 29 and Ensley Street.
   
No word  what happened next but deputies ended up shooting the suspect.
The suspect was taken to the hospital where he's expected to be recover.
   
Deputies say the car-jacking may have been drug-related.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
