Several areas still waiting on FEMA relief

Several streets in Santa Rosa County are still drying out and cleaning up damage from the flood.

People in one neighborhood are suffering from several inches of standing water and many say they've lost everything.

Shayna Arnold, flood victim, "We're just dealing with it the best we can, we're waiting on FEMA or the American Red Cross or whoever to help us, clearly it's still underwater."

To top it off, many people in the neighborhood say they don't have flood insurance.

One of the questions we've been getting here at Channel Three.
What does my insurance cover?
Insurance agents say your coverage depends on how the water got inside.

If there's damage because your roof leaked, your property insurance should cover it.
But, if your property is damaged because of rising water, that's flood damage, and only flood insurance will cover your losses.

Insurance agents say, if your car was damaged, your car policy's "comprehensive coverage" should pay for it.
