Fatal wreck kills man helping to clean up flood damage

A man working to clean up flood damage at a Pensacola storage facility was hit and killed by a vehicle this afternoon.

Witnesses say a four-door pick-up was traveling at a high rate of speed on Tippin Avenue when it hit a power pole, another vehicle, and then the man.
The victim's name has not been released.
The driver, 51-year-old, William Akins, of Milton, was not injured.
The highway patrol is still investigating, and charges are pending.
