Extended State of Emergency
The Escambia County Board of County Commissions extended the "State of Emergenc" declaration in the county for another week.
Preliminary damage totaled by FEMA and the Florida Division of Emergency Management said more than 500 homes were damaged in Escambia County, by less than 18 inches of water.
More than 400 were received major damage, with more than 18 inches of water.
19 homes were destroyed, and two are inaccessible.
The estimated cost of damage to public infrastructure; like roads and drainage systems is currently at 20 million dollars.
But Escambia County officials expect the number to rise because county engineers are still assessing damage.
