Catholic High Baseball loses in state championship but still has great season

Catholic High School Baseball came up short in its bid to win a third straight state championship.
The Crusaders lost three to one to Ocala Trinity in last nights title game.

Bronson Chancellor forced to start 2nd straight night, 2 batters in, the last thing Crusaders needed, a liner off Chancellor's elbow and he had to leave game.

Evans Bozeman who has pitched a lot recently stepped in nicely until the 3rd. Trinity with 3 doubles plus 2 base error, scores 3 runs in the inning

The Crusaders hitters had a hard time with Celtics pitcher Brandon Reitz, just 1 hit through  five innings.

With depleted staff Catholic turns to freshman Matt Estrada in 5th, his 1st varsity action in state championship game, he delivers amazing performance, 2 1/3, one hit, no runs.

Brandon Lockridge 2nd hit in 6th led to a run, and Catholic puts the tying run on on 7th, but freshman Donovan Benoit hits into double play to end it.,,Catholic comes up just short of 3rd straight state title.

There is disappointment in Fort Myers but it's been a great run for Catholic. A young team already, lost top pitcher and top average hitter to injury, still made it to state championship game.
