BERTHA QUICKLY HEADING WEST-NORTHWEST

Tropical Storm Bertha formed over the Atlantic Thursday night and is heading west-northwest.  It has winds of 45 miles per hour and is not forecast to become a hurricane. The storm is not forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico.

Boil water reminders

The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority revised a boil water notices for following areas in Escambia County.

South of I-10.
East of Tippin and 12th avenue.
West of Escambia and North of Pensacola Bays.

There is also a boil water notice for the Mid County Service area in Crestview Okaloosa County.
And East Bay Boulevard in Santa Rosa County.

The city of Mary Esther has also issued a boil-water advisory.
Anyone east of Mary Esther Boulevard, all the way to the city limits are under the advisory.

Businesses and people in these areas are asked to boil all water before using it.    
Those boil water notices will be lifted as soon as testing confirms there is no contamination.
