Escambia County call center open 7am to 7pm

ESCAMBIA COUNTY   -- Recovering from disaster is usually a gradual process.
Safety is a primary issue, as are mental and physical well-being.

If assistance is available, knowing how to access it makes the process faster and less stressful.

There is a call center set up in the Escambia County Emergency Operations Center right now.
Outside EOC that call center is inside and as you can imagine they're extremely busy.

They've been answering thousands of calls a day.
They're answering all those questions about flood damage and road damage.. and anything they can't answer, they're able to give numbers from different agencies that can help.

And be patient if you do call and are put on hold.
Fern Hopkins
"The calls have been non stop, catching most of the calls."

This line was set up to get people away from calling 911.
It's open from 7 am until 7 pm.
