Summer Fest funding

PENSACOLA BEACH   --  Summer Fest organizers are asking for some help..
Banks enterprises is asking for 50 thousand dollars from the county to help fund this year's event.

The money would help pay for things like artists, stage set up, lighting and sound systems.

Organizers say last year's concert had a huge impact on the area - bringing in some five million dollars in hotel rooms, tolls, and other tourist spending.

The county has 250,000 dollars set aside for attracting tourists and events.

The board will consider the request at tomorrow's meeting.
The concert is set for August 30th,  on Casino Beach.
