Florida House passes Charlotte's Web bill

TALLAHASSEE  --  The Florida House Judiciary Committee passed a bill today, that would legalize a strain of Marijuana used to treat certain types of seizures.

Charlotte's Web is low in THC and is commonly ingested as an oil.
Florida's Surgeon General Dr. John Armstrong  does not support the bill.

He says the state wants to help patients, but he is concerned about the safety and purity of the drug.
Florida's Sheriff's Association and Police Chief's Association both originally opposed the bill but they now support it as it awaits a full vote from the House.

Representative Matt Gaetz also recently changed his stance on the strain of Medical Marijuana, after hearing pleas from local parents.
