HEALTH: Arthritis and Children

When you think of arthritis typically you don't think of children.
But according to the Centers for Disease Control one in 250 children are diagnosed with arthritis in the U.S. each year.
One local three year old however has been diagnosed with a rare form only effecting 1 in 100,000 in his age range.
Trevor Parsons "The biggest thing for and me obviously is just him not thinking daddy is coming home from work to hurt him every day."

Samanthia Colley "It hurts a lot, but I know that it is helping him and it is making him better so we've got to keep doing it."
"It would only hurt him once verses 30 times."

"Riley wouldn't move. Riley wouldn't get out of bed, he wouldn't walk or hold his cars he wouldn't do anything."

"It stings going in and the Llaris wouldn't sting. It's very much easier on his body."
"Meet three year old Riley he's pretty much your average toddler who loves to play outside except he has a rare form of arthritis which makes some things a little more difficult."

"On Monday Riley parents hope to get approved to use the Llaris medication through Medicaid."
