Weather Alert

On the map below, the circle over the Gulf of Mexico is for an area of low pressure likely heading toward the Texas/Mexico border.  Development is not expected.  Also, we're tracking Cristobal and a tropical wave over the eastern Caribbean Sea that may become another depression though chances are low.

Ever'man Natural Foods back open

This week marks the end of a huge, 17 month long renovation for Ever'man Natural Foods in Downtown Pensacola.
Channel 3's Kavontae Smalls takes us inside the grocery store and shows us what it has to offer.

It's grand opening well at Ever'man Natural Foods, which means workers have spent a lot of time cleaning, applying a fresh coat of paint, and stocking the shelves.

William Rolfs, the General Manager said, "The downtown area has really needed a grocery store, a one stop shopping grocery store, and we feel like we can serve that need alone by carrying the natural organic products we've always carried."

The grocery store spent 4.6 million dollars to expand more than 5500 ft and create 25 new jobs.
The added space allows for more fresh fruits and vegetables, an expanded deli and meat department.

"As a vegetarian, for a long time, the quality of food and what it's grown with is very important," said shopper, Allen Peterson.

Dr. Steele Smith comes to Ever'nam a couple times a week.
He even refers some of his patients to the store to find healthy food options.
"It's a very busy downtown area so having it close by so people in walking distance can swing in and get smoothies and go to the deli and get things they need, it makes it easy for lunch."

Ever'man's expansion also includes an education center next door, where people can take cooking, exercise, yoga and even beer making classes.
