Spring baby shower and open house at Wildlife Sanctuary

The Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida held their annual Spring Baby Shower and Open House today.
Those who stopped by downtown could feed the animals.

This event is a way for the Sanctuary to get donations for food and supplies for the baby animals they are rehabilitating.
The director of the sanctuary says now is the best time to donate.

So that the Sanctuary can stock up on supplies going into the busy season.
"This is really a kickoff to the baby season because the rest of the summer we are running non-stop."

Kaufmann says that about 3,000 animals are rescued from May to August each year.
