People rescued in Mississippi on Friday due to flooding

Some people in Southern Mississippi were rescued from their homes Friday morning, because of floodwaters after heavy rain.

The Crosby Fire Department in Wilkinson County conducted "active high water rescues."
People were rescued from about 50 homes in the Buffalo River area off US 61.

"I just got away from the trailer when the porch caved in."

"Water, it was water everywhere."

"I ain't ever seen it like this. This is the first time. It's got up but it never got up like this."

No injuries have been reported.
The National Weather Service said the area got six to seven inches of rain.
