TRACKING THE TROPICS

On the map below, the circle over the Gulf of Mexico is for an area of low pressure heading toward Texas.  Development is not expected.  Also, we're tracking Cristobal and a tropical wave over the Atlantic Ocean that may become another depression though chances are low.

Fourteen foot Hammerhead shark caught in South Florida

SOUTH FLORIDA  --  Some young fishermen are getting national attention for catching a 14-foot, 700 pound Hammerhead shark in South Florida.

This video that they posted on "you-tube" shows the group wrangling the shark  from the *Atlantic Ocean* onto a beach.

They took pictures with it and then released it back into the water.
The video was posted on March 20th and has received almost 300,000 views.

There were some previous reports that the shark was caught in the waters off of Pensacola.

However those were not true.
We spoke with one of the anglers who confirmed that the shark did indeed come out of the Atlantic.
