GM expands recall, again
General Motors is recalling more of its vehicles because of a potentially deadly defect.
They are adding 971,000 cars to the recall list because of a defective ignition switch.
That brings the total number of cars affected to 2.6 million.
GM says it sold 95,000 faulty switches to dealers and aftermarket wholesalers for use as replacement parts.
They were used to fix vehicles from 2003 to 2011.
GM says it is having to recall all cars between 2008 and 2011 because they don't know which ones got them.
