Harold Pot bust

HAROLD  --  SANTA ROSA COUNTY - 167 marijuana plants were found in a mobile home on Sabol Road in Milton.  Now a Santa Rosa County husband and wife face drug charges.

Neighbors in the area are shocked to learn this mobile home caught fire from a marijuana growth operation.

Hubert Ganus lives next to the mobile home authorities found 167 marijuana plants inside.

"The whole thing to me was an absolute shock" said Ganus.

Deputies arrested 52-year old Kayle McCormick charged with marijuana production.
Her husband, Jorge McCormick also faces marijuana production charges.
The Fire Marshal believes a grow light started the mobile home fire.
Several grow lights were found in the mobile home.
They're used to grow the marijuana plants.
Deputies believe the sole purpose of the mobile home was to grow marijuana, since a kitchen table with chairs and a stereo were the only other items inside.

"That's absolutely unbelievable to me I would have never believed they were that kind of people" said Ganus.

Harriet Mitchell lives across the street from the mobile home.
She didn't want to show her face on TV, but she's glad to have the couple and their drug operation out of the neighborhood.

"Hopefully that sends a message, to anybody else who's out here doing something illegally we don't want it, keep it away from us, keep it away from our children" said Mitchell.

Kayle McCormick was booked into the Santa Rosa County jail on Tuesday.
She's since been released on a 25-hundred dollar bond.
Jorge McCormick is in the Escambia County jail on un-related charges.
