"Save Our City Pensacola" hosts violence awareness program

A new organization called "Save Our City Pensacola" is promoting unity and trying to give people different option for dealing with problems.
The event aims to bring hope to people affected by violence.

Many people in Escambia County neighborhoods are frightened or angry about violent crime.
Tony Edmond, the event organizer, said "Touch some lives and give someone some hope and let 'em know that violence is a temporary fix, it's an option that we do not have to take."

"Save Our City Pensacola" is putting on a violence awareness program.
It starts at 5:30, March 8th, at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church on "T" street.

They'll have praise dances and singing, along with positive and inspirational messages.
It's free and open to everyone.
