Final arguments being heard in Pensacola "Stand your Ground" hearing

PENSACOLA  --  Final arguments in a Stand your Ground hearing in Pensacola will be heard today.

Keenan Finkelstein is accused of shooting Escambia County Deputy, Sergeant Shedrick Johnson last March.

At the time, deputies were looking for a robbery suspect in the neighborhood on Burning Tree Road.

Finkelstein told deputies he fired the gun after someone shined a light at him, told him to put his hands up and shot a weapon.

He is attempting to use the controversial Florida law as defense for shooting the deputy.

The charges against Finkelstein could be dismissed pending the results of the hearing.
