Funeral tomorrow for Pensacola native Virgil Griffith

There will be a funeral tomorrow in honor of Pensacola native Virgil 'V.Ray' Griffith.

The Pensacola High School grad enlisted in the Army and then served for the Escambia County Sheriff's Department. He was the founding member of the Sheriff's Deptartment Honor Guard and was a member of the Krewe of Mayoki Indians.

Griffith co-founded the Blue Knight's Motorcycle Club and started the Sacred Heart Miracle Camp Charity Ride in 2003. Any donations be made in memory of V. Ray to Miracle Camp c/o Sacred Heart Foundation.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 13 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 Hwy 29s, in Cantonment. There will be a graveside service following at Barrancas National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
