Two of the largest ships in the world docked at Port of Pensacola

PENSACOLA   --  Two of the largest, and newest, pipe laying vessels in the world have both been docked at the Port of Pensacola this week.
The Global 1200 has become a familiar sight in the Pensacola skyline.
It comes in  regularly for supplies and repairs.
But an even bigger ship - The Sampson - arrived over the weekend.
The Sampson is one of the most powerful ships of the it's kind.  The enormous central crane is capable of lifting 1,760 tons!
Both vessels  service major petroleum companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico.

Port Director Amy Miller says it's the first time the Sampson has stopped at the Port of Pensacola and they hope it will return.
