Sochi medal count update

   KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) -- The United States is tied for second in Olympic medals after picking up a second gold today. The U.S. has three total medals, the same as Canada and Netherlands. Norway leads with six medals including two golds. The latest U.S. gold medalist is Jamie Anderson, who won the women's slopestyle snowboarding event. Her win comes a day after Sage Kotsenburg captured the men's gold. American Bode (BOH'-dee) Miller, one of the pre-race favorites in the men's Olympic downhill, finished a disappointing eighth.
   Matthias Mayer of Austria won the downhill gold medal. Italy took silver and Norway earned bronze. Another pre-race favorite, Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal, also struggled and finished fourth.
   Switzerland's Dario Cologna won gold in the men's 30-kilometer skiathlon.
