Army National Guard considers cutting 1,00 troops for Florida

FLORIDA  --  Troop cuts are being made across the military.
The US Army is considering eliminating 1,000 people from the Florida National Guard's ranks.
That would hamper the Guard's ability to respond to hurricanes and other disasters.
Florida Guard leaders say the state already lags in National Guard funding.
In 2012, the Florida Guard's budget was 467 million dollars.
Ten other states had higher budgets, even though Florida is prone to hurricanes.
