Here's an amazing sight you will not see here on earth, a partial Eclipse of the sun from space.
It was recorded Thursday by NASA's solar dynamics observatory, as the moon passed in front of the sun.
It took two and a half hours, the longest transit of its kind ever seen by the observatory during its four years in space.
It's greatly sped up in this view.
And shortly afterwards, the observatory picked up a solar flare.
It's expected to reach Earth's magnetic field tomorrow.
